Richard will say this and then turn around and talk about how women can be valid bishops and then also apologize for anti semitism.
Protestants need more of a presence on the far right and unfortunately, as much as I appreciate him, Richard really just gives the Catholics a lot material to use to make fun of us. Not saying I’m trying to pick a fight with Catholics in the space, obviously I think Nick is awesome, but I’ve seen how uncharitable Catholics can be. You try and throw them a bone to show them you’re reasonable and then they just go 20 times harder and say submit to rome. I just know that if we don’t start taking up space like we need to be the Catholics will feel too comfortable trying to make it seem like the only way to be based is to be Catholic.
They love to say that we’re in this mess because of Protestantism, that the fallen state of the west is a direct result of the reformation. It’s like yeah, everything thing you see, all of the innovation and statecraft, literature and music, is a result of the Protestant reformation. But right now we don’t live in a Protestant culture. We live in a Jewish culture. Our culture comes downstream from the most influential and the most powerful, and because of the Jewish subversion we now live in a culture that in many ways is “Jewish”.
And people think that they convert to Catholicism and it’s like you’re in super based religion now, but it’s more like now you go to church with a bunch of Mexicans. And the Catholic Church is extremely liberal as well, not as liberal as the Protestant mainlines, but still pretty liberal, and it’s going to take a lot less effort to get the mainline Protestant institutions turned around than to get the Catholic Church turned around.

Pastors have to step up
This past week I have been thinking that the best way to get people to become less apathetic towards politics is to get pastors to step up and be bold in proclaiming these Christian political views.
So many Christians who are just so disengaged with politics and have this easy going vibe where “politics just isnt my thing bro just live your life”. A lot of those Christian’s believe that they do need to have an impact of the world, but they think they need to do it by being a chungus and like going to gas stations and sharing the gospel with the cashier. And like the idea of institutional power and influence carries this negative connotation for them.
I think that so many of them won’t ever become politically engaged and won’t go and seek out political engagement, but they will show up to church every sunday, and even if they don’t like it at first they will hear our their pastors.
